From our Founder:

Why we’re excited about Privia.

Inside Iron Health
December 16, 2023

Where do I begin? I could go formal and repeat the interviews from Fierce Healthcare, MobiHealthNews and MedCity News, but many of you know by now that this just isn’t my style. My style is to get vulnerable, share my feelings, and make this launch announcement awkward for all of us. Buckle up.

We’ve partnered with Privia Medical Group Gulf Coast for both the launch of their new Wellness ancillary (we’re powering their weight management program), and for primary care, behavioral health and gestational diabetes support for OB/GYN practices.

It’s no secret that this partnership is exciting for us— it unlocks new growth for Iron Health early in our company lifecycle, and marks our first enterprise relationship. Working with Privia is a dream, and it’s impossible to talk about it without talking specifically about the people at Privia Medical Group Gulf Coast. They are innovators who know how to get things done. They are partners who talk loud and proud in the market about the work we’re doing together, who give us a seat at the table at strategic meetings, who send thoughtful thank you notes, never shy away from hard conversations, bring me coffee at conferences and even offer to drive our team back-and-forth from meetings. See our partnership IRL in this post.

Dr. Mark Cone is the Gulf Coast Market President of Privia Medical Group and a practicing OB/GYN. His vision for women’s health is incredible, the result of deep thinking about the care women deserve and what they aren’t getting, and how to center this care around their OB/GYN relationship without driving less practice efficiency or higher provider burnout. He’s a man on a mission, a mission perfectly aligned with ours at Iron Health as we strive to support OB/GYNs in extending the care they provide to patients, addressing real gaps in the care journey for women.

All I want is to do good work with good people. We sure have lucked out with this team. Their hearts are in the right place, and they’ve got the grit to pull off big things— just like us.

Until next time,

Stephanie
